4 inch round candle/tricket holder by master potter Ben Owen Sr.  His son, Ben own II and grandson, Ben Own III currenlty make pottery carrying on a long family tratdition of NC Potters.  Various Owen family members worked for other NC potteries such as JugTown.  Rim has a couple spots where chips were colored.. but nice example of glaze and work done at Old Plank Road Pottery location which opend in 1959.  Marked Ben Owen Master Potter.
