I have met King Tutankhamen (a.k.a. King Tut, the TutMeister, Grand Master Tutski) twice in my lifetime -- once while he and his belongings were touring the globe and stopped in Koln, Germany, and for a second time at his Egyptian home at The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities in Cairo.

Upon our second meeting, feeling a bit less intimidated, I asked him ..”Your ‘pharohness,’ what is most important in life?”

To which he replied “My brother, it's all about the treasure. Just look around.   My good friend Carter kinda understated it with the ‘wonderful things’ line, but he was headed in the right direction.”

From this point on, I knew I would spend my life hunting great treasures.  Maybe not to the level of the infamous Pharaoh, but I too have collected and enjoyed my treasures along the way.   Unlike his majesty, I do not have the wherewithal to carry a bunch of stuff into the afterlife.  So, I have created this venue – to sell my treasures so that others may enjoy their own ‘wonderful things.’  And besides the king kinda gave me one more directive last we met..

"Go forth my son," King Tut continued (in a Polynesian accent -- a phase he was going through..) "You are my Kane, my Boy..  go forth and sell your treasures so you may meet the afterlife with all the Medicare add-ons you may desire."

Note:  I may have fibbed a bit on the above -- Truth is... my grandmother had issues remembering my name -- she referred to me as "the boy" i.e.  "What is the boy doing?", she would ask as I was crawling under the dining room table to bite my sister.   Amongst my family I became "the boy" -- and as the patch says, Kane is  Boy in Hawaiian.  But I liked the other story better.. Either version..pick the one that works for you and enjoy!
